Our Purpose

West Texas Mental Wellness is a nonprofit entity organized for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes, within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the “IRC”), and property owned by Congruous Access is irrevocably dedicated to such purposes within the meaning of the IRC. Without limiting the foregoing, the principal purposes for which West Texas Mental Wellness is organized are: to increase access to care and the mental health treatment of special needs groups and challenged socioeconomic or vulnerable populations.

These activities will also include mission messaging, educational programming, and research to further community understanding and engagement with the treatment model. To achieve this purpose, West Texas Mental Wellness shall work alone or in cooperation with other persons or organizations, to do any and all lawful acts and things that may be necessary, useful, suitable or proper for the furtherance, accomplishment, or attainment of any or all of the purposes or powers of West Texas Mental Wellness; and to solicit, collect, receive, accumulate and administer and disburse funds in such a manner as will, in the sole discretion of the Board, most effectively operate to further the purposes that qualify under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRC.
